Data protection

Your privacy is important to K+K Swiss AG, Via Sant' Abbondio 59, CH-6577 Ranzo (hereinafter: "we" or "us"). The protection of the data that you provide to us and its security and confidential treatment are our highest principles. We would like to take this opportunity to explain to you to what extent and for what purposes personal data is collected and used when you use our online services and how we protect your data on our website.

1. personal data

Personal data is individual information about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your real name, your address, your telephone number and your date of birth. According to the case law of the European Court of Justice, it can be assumed that the IP address also qualifies as personal data. This is a sequence of numbers that is usually assigned to you automatically and regularly (dynamically) by your provider. This IP address is necessary to make an Internet-enabled device addressable and thus usable for the Internet. Data is not personal if it cannot be used to identify a person. For example, the number of visitors to our website or comparable summarized data does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual visitors. Apart from the following regulations, we will not pass on your personal data to third parties unless this is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation incumbent on us. The scope and type of collection and use of your personal data differs depending on whether you visit our website only to retrieve information or to make use of the services we offer.

2. collection of usage data

When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits various data that are necessary to enable you to visit our website. This data contains information about the operating system you are using, the browser you are using, the content accessed, the time our website was accessed, the website you previously visited (so-called "referrer") and the amount of data transferred to you. This data is stored by our web server in the so-called log files. As a rule, it is not possible to establish a personal reference with this data. When you visit our website, your IP address, which can be used to identify you, is also transmitted to us. This data transmitted to us is also stored and processed in the log file for error analysis and statistical purposes. Personal user profiles are not created. The above-mentioned data is only evaluated for statistical purposes for the optimization of our online store.

7. cookies

We use so-called "cookies" on our website. These are small files that are stored on your PC. They enable us to store specific information relating to you, the user, in connection with the use of our website. These cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website, as well as to make our offers as convenient and efficient as possible for you.

The cookies we use can be divided into technically necessary and technically unnecessary cookies. Technically necessary cookies are those that are absolutely necessary for the use of all functionalities of our website. Without these, error-free use of our website cannot be guaranteed. Non-technically necessary cookies are, for example, those that allow us to make the website more user-friendly. These cookies also help us to analyze user behavior with regard to our website.

Cookies have a specific lifespan, i.e. they remain stored on your computer for a certain period of time unless you delete them. The so-called "session cookies" are deleted immediately after closing the browser, while the so-called "permanent or persistent cookies" remain stored on your computer even after the end of your visit to our website and are not automatically deleted when you close the browser. However, the "permanent cookies" we use are automatically deleted after 2 years at the latest.

You can prevent the use of cookies that are not technically necessary by making the appropriate setting in your browser. You can find out more about this in the help option of the browser you are using.

8. web analysis and advertising programs

The following web analysis and advertising services are used on our website kukag.ch:

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analyzed. These cookies used by Google Analytics can be both temporary and persistent cookies, the maximum lifespan of which generally does not exceed two years. The information generated by these cookies about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

We have extended Google Analytics on this website with the program code "anonymizeIp" to ensure an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). IP anonymization means that your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to a Google server in the USA. Only in exceptional cases, over which we have no control, will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software (see section 6). Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

You can prevent the collection of data generated by cookies and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. It is also possible to prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics by setting an opt-out cookie. To do this, please click on the following link: .

You can find more information on terms of use and data protection at www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

Google Adwords

In order to draw the attention of potential users and customers to our website, we use the online advertising program Google AdWords from Google Inc. Google AdWords places a cookie on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that someone has clicked on the ad and been redirected to our website. Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by preventing the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly (deactivation option). You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. Further information and Google's privacy policy can be found at: www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/, http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

9. social media

On K+K Swiss AG we link to our social media pages. The symbols implemented for this purpose on our site are designed as so-called hyperlinks. This means that when you click on an icon, you will only be redirected to our page on the corresponding network. However, your data will not be transferred.

10. right of access and objection

With regard to the personal data we have collected about you, you have the right to information at any time as to whether and what data we have stored about you, what the purpose of this storage is, where this data comes from, and whether and to whom this data is forwarded.

We endeavor to ensure that the personal data we store is factually correct and, if necessary, up to date. However, if we have stored incorrect data about you, you can request that we correct this data.

In exceptional cases, your data may be blocked instead of corrected or deleted if neither the accuracy nor the incorrectness of the data can be determined, or if, for example, statutory retention periods prevent deletion.

If the storage of your data is inadmissible or if your data is no longer required for the fulfillment of a specific task, we will delete your data.

In individual cases, you can also object to the processing of your data if the processing is lawful. This is possible if, due to a particular personal situation, you have an interest in the data not being processed and this interest outweighs our interest in the data processing.

If you have a corresponding request, please contact us using the contact details below.

11. contact form

You can contact us directly via our website using the contact form. If you wish to use this contact form, it is necessary for you to provide us with personal data - your name and e-mail address. Your e-mail address is required so that we can contact you after processing your request. We use your name to be able to assign the request to you and to be able to address you personally when responding. It is not necessary to provide any other personal data. You also have the option of providing your telephone number so that we can contact you by telephone regarding your inquiry.

This data is stored and used exclusively for processing your request or for contacting you and the associated technical processes.
